If you’re in Reno’s Riverwalk District on game day and you listen closely you’ll probably hear it … The chanting. The hype. The superfans that loyally tout their Pack Pride no matter the season or semester. The University of Nevada, Reno is a big deal and has some amazing business neighbors that will help bring all that Wolf Pack spirit to life.
Out on the town
Silver and blue runs deep throughout the Riverwalk District. There are several spots you can visit to get a little essence of all things UNR. Touch down at The Stick for sports on the big screen. As Reno’s first ever non-smoking, non-gaming sports lounge, you can watch the pigskin fly and enjoy some tasty food and drinks.
Catch a game at Greater Nevada Field where the minor league Reno Aces wow the crowd with incredible baseball skills and Archie adds some comedic flair.
Looking to purchase some swag? Head to Home Means Nevada Co. for everything you need for that Reno style. It is the quintessential garb representing true Nevadans in all our awesome glory.
For a night out, hang with fellow students and alumni at The Eddy, a collaborative community space with food, drinks, games and plenty of space to chat with friends.
One of the newest attractions in the heart of downtown Reno, Reno Axe & Social offers professional instructors who teach visitors how to throw and then lead you to the bar for a drink. Get a little retro and play games at Playfield 76, Reno’s blend of bar/restaurant/arcade serving quality spirits and comforting plates in a refined, retro space. Enjoy pizza by the slice at Pizza Reno and Pizanos Pizza; order tacos to go from Antonios Mexican Grill; grab a burger and a beer courtesy of The Brewer’s Cabinet; and, cool off with a fun, flavorful treat from Rolled Mountain Ice Cream.
There’s nothing quite like a college town. With students buzzing around, their supporters cheering along the way, and amazing businesses there to provide entertainment, a quick meal, or somewhere to hangout with friends, the Riverwalk District is proud to be a part of the UNR scene.
